• Suhoor — eat before Fajr; delaying it slightly (while staying safely before Fajr) is Sunnah.
• Fast from Fajr to Maghrib — food, drink, and intimacy.
• Iftar — break the fast immediately at Maghrib, traditionally with dates and water.
• Qur'an — increase recitation; many aim for one Juz a day to complete a full Khatm.
• Guard your tongue — avoid gossip, arguing, and anger; the fast is more than food.
• Taraweeh — extra night prayer after Isha (see Nawafil below).
• Charity — Ramadan multiplies reward for Sadaqah; give more than usual.
